Job Description:
Our client is a not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to develop, in the public interest, a single set of high quality, global accounting standards.
It is looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to cover a 3 month interim.
Responsibilities will include:
· Draft, review and analyse contracts to detect ambiguities, inaccuracies, omissions of essential terms and conditions, conformity with its policies, and conflicts with applicable regulations and recommend contract modifications.
· Manage the royalty process and monitor revenue received from commercial agreements. Provide data to project anticipated revenues to enable effective budgeting and financial planning.
. Liaise with finance department and perform credit control function in relation to outstanding royalties.
. Provide legal advice, either alone or in conjunction with internal and/or external counsel.
· Ensure compliance with relevant UK, EU and US legislation (eg the Data Protection Act, Distance Selling Regulations, Competition law).
The ideal candidate will need to have a Law Degree (or equivalent qualifications or experience) together with Post Graduate Legal Qualification (LPC, BVC, FILEX).
