Job Description:
Our client is a highly respected household name. It now wishes to appoint the Principal Lawyer (Commercial and Corporate).
This role reports directly into the Director of Legal Services and is a managerial position.
Responsibilities include:
To provide comprehensive legal advice to the organisation's Trading Divisions, manufacturing and operational Divisions on consumer law, commercial law (including Intellectual Property, White Labelling, E-Commerce and Internet Law and “the Commercial Legal Function”) acquisitions, disposals, mergers and partnering arrangements including joint ventures and franchising (the Corporate Legal function).
To manage the team employed as the internal Commercial legal resource and to manage the external Commercial Legal resource including trainees and secondees effectively and efficiently on the delivery of a proactive and appropriately responsive Commercial legal function to the business and to Corporate Head Office
To support the Corporate Head Office function in implementation activities including Treasury, in managing strategy risks and support the trading Divisions in managing key operational risks.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 year's company/commercial experience, some of which will ideally have been gained in house as hands on management experience is pre requisite. Jobs Post a new job Manage templates
