Job Description:

Our client is a trustee body responsible for implementing and overseeing a new national scheme.

The Secretariat’s objectives include supporting the Chair, Trustee Members and Committee Chairs in their work to ensure that the body complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, regulations and guidance. They work in partnership with the Risk and Compliance functions to help ensure effective decision making and accountability across the organisation. They are also responsible for ensuring that the body adopts and maintains exemplary standards of corporate governance, and engenders a robust corporate governance culture across the organisation. A large part of their function is providing support for internal executive committees and governance structures.

It now wishes to appoint an Assistant Corporate Secretary on an interim basis. This role is required to cover a period of high volume activity as the new governance structures for the corporation are embedded.

The successful candidate will ideally be ICSA qualified and be able to demonstrate some of the following experience:

· Previous experience in a company secretary role for a corporate

Experience of working in the corporate secretariat of a large occupational pension scheme

· Experience providing company secretarial support to another NDPB or trust based organisation would be considered.

Education/qualification requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills and education:
· Company secretarial qualifications (e.g. ICSA) would be preferred in this role
