Job Description:
Our client, a well-known professional body sector seeks an interim commercial contracts Lawyer to join the Legal Secretariat Department.
The role will be responsible for taking over the commercial contracts and providing a prompt service in relation to drafting and checking contracts, negotiating contracts with the corporate clients or advising Business Development Managers during the course of negotiations. Applications are often received from firms with complex company structures and the appointee will be required to understand company structures, interpret and apply the scheme rules and make recommendations on enforcement where necessary.
The appointee will inevitably be requested to assist with other legal issues arising within the department. Considerable flexibility is therefore essential in what will be an interesting and varied job.
Candidates will ideally be 2 years qualified with experience of drafting and negotiating contracts with an understanding of FSA regulation.
This role is initially for 6 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.
